Genesis: In the Beginning

The Genesis: In the Beginning series walks us through the foundational book of Scripture, showing not only the beginnings of the world, humanity, and God’s covenant people, but also the unchanging character of the Lord who rules over it all. From the opening declaration “In the beginning, God created,” the sermons remind us that life begins and ends with Him. Creation is not simply history, but it’s the stage on which God’s glory and purposes are displayed.

As the series moves through the lives of Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph, recurring themes emerge. We see the tragedy of sin and its consequences, but also the consistent grace of God who intervenes, protects, and provides. Abraham’s faith, Jacob’s failures, and Joseph’s trials all highlight how God uses ordinary and broken people to accomplish extraordinary purposes.

These sermons consistently point us back to God’s sovereignty and faithfulness: He leads His people, fulfills His promises, and works redemption even through betrayal, suffering, and delay. Genesis is not just a story of beginnings, it’s the story of God’s steadfast hand guiding His people, a reminder that He is the same today and is worthy of our trust.
