The Senior Adult Ministry at Community Baptist Church provides a welcoming and supportive community for seniors in our congregation. Our goal is to create opportunities for spiritual growth as well as fellowship and just a fun time.
Monthly Lunches
Join us on the first Tuesday of the month as we enjoy a delicious meal and enjoy spending time laughing with friends.
Quarterly Trips
Each quarter, we plan a special outing for SAM. Sometimes its a quick day trip other times a longer excursion. Either way the main focus is to explore new places and make memories.
2025 Rhode Island Trip
The Rhode Island SAM Retreat (Oct 13-18, 2025) is a scenic and historical journey through New England in the fall. Highlights include Plymouth, MA, with Plimoth Plantation, the Mayflower, and a live cranberry harvest. In Providence, RI, explore Roger Williams’ legacy, enjoy Little Italy’s charm, and take a gondola ride. Experience autumn landscapes with wagon rides, apple picking, and covered bridges. Discover Newport’s coastal beauty, historic mansions, and Narragansett Bay. The trip includes guided tours, a Thanksgiving buffet, and a comfortable stay at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. This is a perfect trip to get to see Rhode Island and make new friends along the way.
