A Person of Faith – Genesis 12

A person of faith obeys God.
- A person of faith must be willing to go wherever God calls.
- A person of faith must be willing to forsake all for God.
A person of faith worships God.
- Our worship stands in contrast to our culture.
- Our worship involves time and effort.
- Our worship is to be given to the Lord.
A person of faith can falter and fail.
- We delay in obeying God.
- We lean on our own understanding.
  - We can be selfish, deceive others and put others in jeopardy.
  - We can bring trouble on others.
- We can put our testimony at risk.
A person of faith has a wonderful God.
- The Lord graciously reveals himself.
- The Lord demonstrates patience.
- The Lord blesses us beyond belief.
- The Lord intercedes.
- The Lord gives blessings in spite of our failures.
- The Lord forgives and restores.
